What’s different
- No install, any OS. PhoneFarm is a web page. It runs on macOS, Linux and ChromeOS as well as Windows.
- No account or activation. It’s free with no device limit.
- USB, OTG/LAN and Wi-Fi. Prepare the boards over USB once per boot, then control them over Ethernet or Wi-Fi with network mode.
- No local automation API. CXT’s WebSocket API on port 22223 has no browser equivalent; use PhoneFarm’s built-in scripts instead.
Switching from CXT
- Close CXT completely (including the tray icon) so it releases the phones.
- If the boards say “waiting for permission”, import the
adbkeyfromC:\Users\<you>\.android\— see importing your ADB key. - Open PhoneFarm, add the phones, then renumber them to match your CXT numbers.
CXT Group Control is a product of its respective owner. PhoneFarm is an independent project and is not affiliated with it.
