What’s different

  • No install, any OS. PhoneFarm is a web page. It runs on macOS, Linux and ChromeOS as well as Windows.
  • No account or activation. It’s free with no device limit.
  • USB mode. Keep the box in USB mode (usually the blue light); PhoneFarm controls the boards over USB.
  • No local automation API. Group Control WebSocket API on port 22223 has no browser equivalent; use PhoneFarm’s built-in scripts instead.

Switching from other group control software

  1. Close other group control software completely (including the tray icon) so it releases the phones.
  2. If the boards say “waiting for permission”, import the adbkey from C:\Users\<you>\.android\ — see importing your ADB key.
  3. Open PhoneFarm, add the phones, then renumber them to match your other group control software numbers.

Group Control is a product of its respective owner. PhoneFarm is an independent project and is not affiliated with it.
