What is phone farm box software?
A phone farm box contains multiple Android phone boards in a compact enclosure. The control application connects to the boards, shows screen status and provides coordinated actions. PhoneFarm connects through the USB ADB interface using WebUSB in a supported desktop browser.
| Need | PhoneFarm capability | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Manage a physical USB box | Device list and screen wall | Box exposes individual USB ADB devices |
| Control multiple Android phones | Synchronized tap, swipe and input | USB debugging is authorized |
| Install Android apps | Batch APK installation | App and Android version compatibility |
| Maintain a farm | ADB commands and app manager | Device permissions and box wiring |
| Work without a paid desktop license | Free browser app | Chrome/Edge and host USB access |
How to connect a phone farm box
Put the hardware in USB/OTG device mode, attach it directly or via a suitable powered USB hub, close other tools using ADB, and select Add USB phones in PhoneFarm. Grant access to your devices. If screenless boards do not authorize, consult the ADB key guide for an approved key supplied by your hardware administrator.
USB phone farm boxes versus network-mode boxes
PhoneFarm documents direct browser-to-USB ADB connections, not proprietary Ethernet control protocols. A hardware box may expose USB mode, network mode or both. Switch to a supported USB ADB mode before using PhoneFarm. Do not assume a box advertised as “group control” supports standard USB ADB.
Why use a browser app?
The tool runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS in browsers with the required WebUSB support. Video screens, commands and transfers move between the browser and connected USB devices; basic site traffic analytics are separate. Your actual performance depends on device count, hardware and USB bandwidth.
What PhoneFarm does not replace
It does not supply physical Android hardware, managed cloud phones, hosted remote collaboration or a vendor’s proprietary firmware management interface. For that work, select a vendor offering the corresponding infrastructure.
